Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club Inc. - Notice of Annual Meeting on 4-20-2024

Posted by [email protected] on Mar. 9, 2024  /   0

Hello Red Arrow Members,

We hope this newsletter finds you well. Hopefully, those of you that snowmobile had a chance to get out during the very short season and enjoy the trails. The season started late and ended a week later due to Mother Nature not following our wishes. Let's all hope that next year will be much better.

Despite the shortened season, the club still prepared as if it would be a much longer season. The grooming equipment and groomer drivers were ready for whatever snow we received. A big thank you go out to the groomer drivers that work very hard to get ready and for their time spent working on equipment and doing the grooming. They did the very best they could with the snow that fell.

Thank you to all who purchased the Snowfest raffle tickets and attended our event. The event and ticket sales provide the club with funds which help pay the bills and keep our trails groomed. We appreciate everyone's assistance in planning, donating and volunteering.  It was a great day!

Club membership numbers are at 412 members which include primary members and business boosters. Membership year runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. You must be a paid member to vote at the general membership meeting. Please contact Tracy Wiebensohn at 920-242-3172 if you have a question about your membership.

The club's annual general membership meeting with election of officers is coming up on April 20th, 2024, at 10:00AM at the Townsend Town Hall - across from the Townsend Post Office. Mark your calendar NOW!

It is very important that members attend this meeting. The positions up for election this year are Vice President, Administrative Secretary and one Director.

Remember the club needs people in leadership to provide the trails everyone has come to expect. The club has a good core of returning board members, but they cannot do it alone. No leadership, no club, no trails. Now is the time for members to step forward and assume a leadership role.

ATV/UTV season will be starting soon. The opening date is determined by the US Forest Service and the Oconto County Forest and Parks Administrator. The opening of the trails will be announced by a Press Release. Red Arrow will follow with a Facebook post and an update on the club website. Please watch those spots for trail opening. While the ATV/UTV trails are closed, please note that the Nicolet State Trail aka "The Grade" is also closed to ATV/UTV or any other vehicle traffic.

Dates to Remember:

April 20th, 2024 - General Membership meeting with election of officers, 10AM at the Townsend Town Hall across from the Post Office.

ATV/UTV Trail Opening Date - Watch the club website and Facebook for a press release from the Oconto County Forest and Parks Administrator.

Take care and see you on the trails.
